Scientists deliver a new view on NSW forest extent and health

In a first for NSW, a consortium of Australia’s leading spatial and remote sensing scientists has developed authoritative methods to measure the forest extent, condition and loss of forests across NSW Regional Forest Agreement regions between 1995 – 2019.
In applying the methods, the researchers found the overall extent had increased across the RFA regions within the period.
