Biodiversity Conservation Trust - Evaluation of Private Land Conservation Matters program

The Biodiversity Conservation Trust (the Trust) engaged the Commission to undertake an independent evaluation of the Private Land Conservation Matters program.

The Trust partnered with Landcare NSW and Landcare groups to deliver this $1.4 million program. The program helped Landcare coordinators and local Landcare groups work with the Trust’s regional staff to deliver events, focused on building landholder knowledge and awareness of private land conservation.

This independent evaluation assessed the effectiveness of the program in meeting its intended outcomes, with particular attention to delivery outcomes, stakeholder engagement, and the partnership model between the Trust and Landcare NSW. The evaluation also aimed to assist the Trust in future program design and implementation of private land conservation efforts across NSW.
