Local Land Services - Evaluation of NSW Landcare Enabling Program 2023-2027

The NSW Local Land Services requested the Commission to develop a Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) Framework for the NSW Landcare Enabling Program 2023-2027.

The NSW Government has committed $59 million to support Landcare in NSW over four years from 2023 to 2027.

The program supports Landcare communities and volunteers by enhancing the coordination of connected volunteer groups to empower, educate, support networks, and facilitate natural resource management outputs.

We delivered a MERI framework in February 2025.

The framework will guide implementation, monitoring and reporting of the achievements of the program against the intended outcomes. It will also support Local Land Services to meet the NSW Government requirements to coordinate monitoring and periodic evaluation of initiatives, assess their achievements and demonstrate value for money investment.
