2021-2022 Water sharing plan reviews

Summary

We completed our review of the following water sharing plans:

• Water Sharing Plan for the North-Western Unregulated and Fractured Rock Water Sources 2011
• Water Sharing Plan for the Castlereagh Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2011
• Water Sharing Plan for the NSW Border Rivers Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2012
• Water Sharing Plan for the Intersecting Streams Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2011
• Water Sharing Plan for the Lower Murray-Darling Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2011
• Water Sharing Plan for the Murray Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2011

We recommended that all the above water sharing plans be extended for up to two years to allow time to undertake required data collection and analysis, consultation, and development of amended provisions.

The Government supported our recommendations by approving the extension of all the above plans for up to two years.
